Agenda Item Title:  Award of Enviroplex Contract for Slater and District Office Modular Buildings

Background: 

The Slater Elementary School project includes modular buildings for the administration building, library building and classroom buildings.  The District office project includes a modular office building.

 

The District issued a Request for Proposals for modular building manufactures for the subject project.  On April 20, 2017, the District received three proposals for the subject project. The District’s Measure G Bond Program manager, Greystone West, Architect (DTA Architects), and District administration have reviewed the proposals and believe it is in the best value to the District to contract with Enviroplex based on pricing secured under the Las Lomitas School District Piggyback Contract.

Recommended Action: 

That the Board of Trustees approve the selection of Enviroplex as the Modular Building Manufacturer Incorporating Las Lomitas School District Piggyback Contract for the Slater Elementary School and District Office construction project, as in the best interest of the District pursuant to Public Contract Code section 20118 and District Board Policy 3311 and award the contract in the amount of $13,324,526.82 to Enviroplex.
