Background:
On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.
All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days. The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $88,300 in 2017 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

- Association of California School Administrators - Leadership Coaching and Administrative Credential Program, $30,000
- Community School of Music and Arts - After-school chorus program for Theuerkauf School, no cost to MVWSD
- Community School of Music and Arts - Preschool
- Creative Learning Center - Provide special education and related services to individuals with disabilities, $110 per hr/$343.35 per day
- Education Preparation for Inclusive Classrooms (EPIC) - Two-year Intern Education Specialist program, no cost to MVWSD
- First 5 - California State Preschool Program (CSPP) Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) Block Grant, no cost to MVWSD
- K-12 Team - Reading intervention program at Castro School $5,000
- Kidizens - Civic and economics after school enrichment program at Bubb School $ no cost to MVWSD
- Lawrence Hall of Science - Wizard's Lab; Theuerkauf students will explore the almost magical properties of matter and energy, participate in high-voltage and subzero experiments, $1,416
- Run for Fun Camps - Provide outdoor field games at Bubb School, no cost to MVWSD
- Santa Clara County office of Education - Teacher credentialing intern program, no cost to MVWSD
- Society of Young Inklings Spilling Ink - Creative writing enrichment prograM for Bubb students, no cost to MVWSD
- Sound & Signal - Provide yearly fire alarm inspections, testing, and maintenance at all school sites, $29,259
