Agenda Item Title: Castro/Mistral Construction Phase 2 Change Order #1

Background: During the Castro Elementary School and Mistral Elementary School Phase 2 New Construction Project, unforeseen conditions, design changes, and owner requests have occurred, resulting in additions/changes in scope to the original project. These additions/changes require contingency money to be used. The contingency monies required for Change Order #1 will not exceed $46,412.
Fiscal Implication:
A total construction contingency of $2,392,400 is budgeted for this project.
Change Order No. 1 for $46,412 results in a remaining contingency balance of $2,345,988. To date, 14% of the project is complete.
Recommended Action:
That the Board of Trustees approve the Castro Elementary School and Mistral Elementary School Phase 2 New Construction Change Order #1.
