Background:
During the Castro/Mistral Elementary School Phase 1 – Demolition and Temporary Housing Project – Site Package, unforeseen conditions, design changes, and owner requests have occurred, resulting in additions/changes in scope to the original project. These additions/changes require contingency money to be used. The contingency monies required for Change Order #2 will not exceed $1,944.
Fiscal Implication:
The total construction contingency of $46,545 was budgeted for this project.
Change Order #1 for $70,349 utilized all contingency monies plus an additional $24,804. Change Order # 2 will utilize an additional $1,944 with 100% of the project complete.
Recommended Action:
That the Board of Trustees approve the Castro/Mistral Elementary School Phase 1 Change Order #2.
