Background:
The District has developed schematic designs for Theuerkauf Elementary School for the construction and/or modernization of the Administration Building, Multi-Use Room (MUR), Staff Workroom, and Classroom Modernization.
In order to stay on target for construction of the MUR to begin in spring 2018/summer of 2018, this project must be submitted to the Division of State Architect by the fall of 2017. Overall construction is anticipated to take eight months from March through October 2018 with the classroom wings and administration building running from June 2018 to August 2018.
At the June 1, 2017 board meeting, the board discussed the proposed schematic design. There were three options of the MUR presented to the Board for consideration.
Staff returns for final action on the schematic design.
Fiscal Implication: Measure G Bond Program – $12,550,992 budget
Recommended Action: That the Board of Trustees approve the schematic design, budget and schedule for the Theuerkauf Elementary School Modernization Project.
