Background: 
On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.

All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days.  The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $88,300 in 2017 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

Presented for review are the following contract(s):

 
  1. Analytic - Annual renewal of Analytic Application Service and Software License Agreement, $11,397.00
  2. Community School of Music and Art - MOU/Addendum confirming services for the Special Education Program, $6,270
  3. Dannis Woliver Kelley (DWK) - Provide legal advice and counseling services for 2017-2018 Mountain View Whisman School District, $225-$310 per hour 
  4. Dora J. Dome - Agreement for legal services, $175-$240 per hour
  5. Newsela - Nonfiction reading license for Theuerkauf School, $3,500
  6. Peninsula Bridge after school program, $20,000
  7. Foothill Family Engagement Institute, $23,100
  8. Infinity Systems - Gain partnerships and support with local companies that could reach into the millions of dollars each year, $36,000 
  9. kidzJet - Summer 2017 transportation for special education students, approximately $12,000 (contract not attached for student privacy)
  10. Innovate Public Schools, coaching, $5,000
