Agenda Item Title: Award of Architectural Services Contract to Hibser Yamauchi Architects, Inc. for the District-Wide Campus Perimeter Controls Upgrades Project

Background:
The Campus Perimeter Controls project includes Ornamental and Chain link Fencing additions and revisions at Bubb ES, Castro/Mistral ES, Crittenden MS, Graham MS, Huff ES, Landels ES, Monta Loma ES, Stevenson ES, and Theuerkauf ES. The project requires the services of an architectural design firm to assist in programming, design, and construction documents, DSA submittal, construction administration and closeout. The District issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for these services on May 20, 2020 to the currently approved pool of Architects for the District for the Measure G Bond. A total of three proposals were received:
Hibser Yammauci Architects (HY) $73,000
Dreiling Terrones Architecture Inc. (DTA) $111,500
Artik, Art and Architecture $151,500
Fiscal Implication:
HY Architects has presented a service fee proposal for the required services in the amount of $73,000. This proposal is within the established project budget for design fees.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended the Board of Trustees approve the service fee proposal and award of an agreement for HY Architects in the amount of $73,000
