Background: 
At the April 2, 2020 meeting of the Board of Trustees, staff presented for review and discussion information about  the elementary Social Studies and Science Curriculum Adoption processes.  Additionally, a  recommendation for adopting Teacher's Curriculum Institute (TCI) History Alive for Elementary Social Studies was also presented for discussion. The presentation is attached.

Fiscal Implication:
Total cost of adoption including materials and professional development is $391,000.

Recommended Action: 
That the board approves the adoption of Teacher's Curriculum Institute (TCI) History Alive for Elementary Social Studies beginning in the 2020-21 school year.
