Board Policy No. 6145:
Overview of the policy
BP 6145: This Board policy states that extracurricular and cocurricular activities enrich the educational and social development and experiences of students and that the district encourages and supports student participation in extra/cocurricular activities.
This policy was amended / adopted November 5, 2015 and must be reviewed annually.
For the most part, the language in the policy remains the same with the exception of the following item:
Summary list of changes in the policy
- The wording in paragraph two has been revised to stress the importance of not providing, conducting separately, limiting, or denying participation in an extra curricular or cocurricular activity by any prohibited category of discrimination in state of federal law.

That the board approve Board Policy No. 6145, Extracurricular and Cocurricular Activities at first reading, as presented.
