Background:
During the Stevenson Elementary School Phase 4 New Multi-Use Room and Library Additions Project, unforeseen conditions, design changes, and owner requests have occurred, resulting in additions/changes in scope to the original project. These additions/changes require contingency money to be used. The contingency monies required for Change Order #2 will not exceed $106,521.00. A summary of Change Order #2 is attached.
Total contingency: $473,400
Change Order 1 - $54,505
Change Order 2 - $106,521
Total Change Order to Date - $161,026
Contingency remaining - $312,374, with 40% of the project complete
Fiscal Implication:
The total construction contingency of $473,400 was budgeted for this project.
Change Order #2 for $106,521 will reduce the remaining contingency amount to $312,374 with 40% of the project complete.
Recommended Action: That the Board of Trustees approve Change Order #2 for the Stevenson Elementary School Phase 4 New Multi-Use Room and Library Additions Project.
