Agenda Item Title:  Notices of Completion – Monta Loma Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room Addition and Portables Installation Project (Phase 1) and Classroom Modernization Project (Phase 2)

Background: 

On May 4, 2017, the Board approved the construction contract for the Monta Loma Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room Addition and Portables Installation Project (Phase 1) and Classroom Modernization Project (Phase 2) from Measure G funds.  The Board approved the award of the subject projects to Beals Martin, Inc. in the amount of $10,189,598.

 

Work on this project is now substantially complete.



Fiscal Implication:
The District currently holds retention in the amount of $502,182.95, or 5% of the contract value.  After a minimum of thirty-five (35) days after the filing of the Notices of Completion with the County of Santa Clara recorder, the District will release the retention amount provided all remaining close out and punch list items have been completed.

Recommended Action: 
That the Board approve the filing of the Notices of Completion for the Monta Loma Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room Addition and Portables Installation Project (Phase 1) and Classroom Modernization Project (Phase 2).
