Agenda Item Title: Resolution No. 01-082318 to Close the Associated Student Body Account at Castro Elementary School

Background:
Education Code 48930 sets forth provisions for organizing an Associated Student Body Account within any public school. Schools must request the Board of Education’s approval to organize an Associated Student Body account in order to further promote school activities. This includes the opening and closing of bank account(s) in the name of the school’s student body.
Castro Elementary School requests that the existing Associated Student Body account be closed by August 31, 2018. The estimated ending balance of $2,049.88 in this account will be transferred to the Castro Elementary School Site General Donation account.
Fiscal Implication:
No financial impact to MVWSD.
Recommended Action:
That the Board of Trustees adopt Resolution No. 01-082318 to Close the Associated Student Body Account at Castro Elementary School.
