Agenda Item Title:  North Bayshore Master Planning Services Agreement with Artik Art and Architecture (3 minutes)

Background: 

The North Bayshore area of Mountain View is planned to undergo a significant change with the development of more than 9,000 housing units. The impact on the District's student enrollment projects between 1,500-2,000 students. To that end, facilities master planning is needed.  

Staff distributed a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) for architectural master planning services.  The received proposals were scored and the selected firm was Artik Art and Architecture.  The planning process is planned to take twenty (20) months.  The process includes the creation of a steering committee, community input meetings, presentation at board meetings, and the creation of a final master plan for the District to use in planing for school construction in the North Bayshore development.
