Background:
During the Mariano Castro Traditional School / Gabriela Mistral Dual Immersion School Phase 2 New Construction Project, unforeseen conditions, design changes, and owner requests have occurred, resulting in additions/changes in scope to the original project. These additions/changes require contingency money to be used. The contingency monies required for Change Order #6 will not exceed $528,593.00. A summary of Change Order #6 is attached.
Fiscal Implication:
The total construction contingency of $2,392,400 was budgeted for this project.
Change Order #1 for $46,412 was approved on June 15, 2017.
Change Order #2 for ($318,437) was approved on September 7, 2017.
Change Order #3 for $101,382 was approved on February 1, 2018.
Change Order #4 for $333,850 was approved on April 5, 2018.
Change Order #5 for $648,527 was approved on May 17, 2018.
Change Order #6 for $528,593 will reduce the remaining contingency amount to $1,052,073 with 95% of the project complete.
Recommended Action:
That the Board of Trustees approve Change Order #6 for the Mariano Castro Traditional School / Gabriela Mistral Dual Immersion School Phase 2 New Construction Project.
