Agenda Item Title:  Board Resolution No. 1671.4 /18 for Classified Layoffs (5 minutes)

Background: 

When, as a result of a bona fide reduction or elimination of the service being performed by any department, classified employees shall be subject to layoff, for lack of work or lack of funds at the end of the school year, affected employees must be given written notice not less than 60 days prior to the effective date of the layoff and informed of their displacement rights, if any, and reemployment rights (Education Codes 45117, 45298, 45308.). There are five positions affected by this layoff. 

The health clerk's position is funded by an annual grant and the notice of approval of funding from the grant comes in June.  The RTI instructional assistant position has been eliminated.  The District has decided not to participate in the School-Linked Services grant, which results in the School-Linked Services Coordinator positions have being eliminated at the end of this school year.
