Background:
During the Monta Loma Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room Addition (Phase 1), Classroom Modernization (Phase 2) and Portables Installation Project, unforeseen conditions, design changes, and owner requests have occurred, resulting in additions/changes in scope to the original project. These additions/changes require contingency money to be used. The contingency monies required for Change Order #2 will not exceed $82,802. A summary of Change Order #2 is attached.
Fiscal Implication:
The total construction contingency of $666,609 was budgeted for this project. Change Order #2 for $82,802 will reduce the remaining contingency amount to $153,165 with 98% of the project complete.
Recommended Action:
That the Board of Trustees approve Change Order No. 2, for the Monta Loma Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room Addition (Phase 1), Classroom Modernization (Phase 2) and Portables Installation Project.
