Agenda Item Title: Award of Contract Amendment No. 1 to the Architectural Services Agreement with Dreiling Terrones Architecture, Inc. (DTA), for the Roofing Replacement and Repair Project

Background:
At the meeting of the Board of Trustees on January 30, 2025, the Board approved a design services agreement with DTA Architects for the Roofing Replacement and repair project. The scope of work for that agreement was based on findings from a 2019 roof assessment at each of the project sites and also required the consultant to perform an updated assessment of each site. Upon completing that updated assessment, additional roof areas at Graham Middle School which were previously identified to be in need of repairs are now in need of full roofing replacements. This includes buildings 1 (Library), 7A (Music), 9 (Admin) as well as the covered walkways adjacent to the classroom buildings.
The need for additional replacement has also been identified by the District's Construction Management firm, Greystone West, along with District MOT.
Fiscal Implication:
The contract amendment with DTA totals $49,500 and is within budget for design services for this project. This contract is charged to Measure T.
Recommended Action:
t is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve Contract Amendment No. 1 for the Roofing Repair and Replacement Project to Dreiling Terrones Architecture, Inc.
