Background: 

The following contracts have been provided to the District’s governing Board (Board) for ordering payment and for ratification.

 

The Board approved on November 7, 2024, Resolution No. 06-110724, delegating the authority to award contracts contained in Education Code section 17604 to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s), altogether, Authorized Individuals. Contracts awarded by Authorized Individuals under Resolution No. 06-110724 are Delegated Contracts.”  The Board limited the delegated authority for Delegated Contracts with the following additional requirements:

 

  • Student Services.  No limit for classroom-based services for individual students, services related to Individual Education Plans, or other special education services;
  • Construction, Repairs or Maintenance. $220,000 limit for construction, repair or maintenance services utilizing a resolution passed in 2004 to utilize the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Account Act (CUPCCAA);
  • Services. $50,000 limit, per vendor per year, for all other services;
  • Equipment, Materials and Supplies. Up to the current bid limit for equipment, materials and supplies ($114,500 in 2024; Public Contract Code §20111).

 

The Business Office conducts a review of contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditions. However, the responsibility for evaluating the quality and delivery of services outlined in the contract rests with the staff members who negotiate the agreements.

Business Bailey Fence Company, Inc. Will provide a First Amendment to the Contract that was board approved on April 24, 2025. Bailey Fence will provide additional repair of the existing damaged chain link fence at Monta Loma. $1,047.00 Yes
HR Bay Area Solutions Will provide fingerprinting services at Imai, Castro and Crittenden Middle on various dates and times. Applicant will be paying the fees. No cost to the District. Yes
Business- MOT Bus Safety Training Network LLC Will provide training for 8 drivers in original and renewal classroom hours, in-service meetings, driving proficiency, T-01 signing and T-02 maintenance of driver's records, consulting and compliance. $18,000 training

Ed. Services- FSSP Churros El Guero Will provide food truck services for the Parent Engagement Back-to-School event on Saturday, August 16, 2025. No cost to the District Yes
Business- MOT City Mechanical, Inc. Will provide building controls systems services for the repair, maintenance, and emergency support of HVAC control and energy management systems, district-wide. NTE $35,000.00
Business- Construction Consolidated Networks Corporation Will replace existing Bogen Public Address system with Front Row Conductor to match the District standards at the balance of the District sites and replace Bogen Clock system with American Time Clock system to match District standards. $116,592.00
Superintendent Cookies n Cream Will provide an ice cream catering truck for the All Hands Staff Meeting on August 13, 2025. $1,300.00 Yes
Business- Child Nutrition County of Santa Clara Amendment number 4 to the contract. MVWSD will serve cold lunches that meet the National School Lunch Program guidelines. Meals are available to all children up to the age of 18, at no cost at Rengstorff Park and other locations, Monday through Friday 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. District will be compensated NTE $63,214.00. Yes
Business- MOT Dryco Construction Inc. Will provide all materials, labor, equipment, and services necessary to perform seal coating and re-striping work at various school sites and district facilities. NTE $75,000.00 Yes

Business- MOT Ellison's Towing & Transport Will provide prompt and reliable remove of illegally parked and abandoned vehicles from school property and district lots, ensuring safety and operational efficiency. Towing will be taken care of at the expense of the car owner. Yes
Ed. Services Follett Will perform weeding and inventory replenishment services to update the middle school libraries. $60,234
Business- MOT Foster Bros. Security Systems Inc Will provide repair, keys, and 24/7 emergency response for issues such as lockouts, broken hardware, and compromised security. NTE $9500 Yes
Superintendent Golden Ice Cream Will provide ice cream catering truck for the All Hands Staff Meeting on August 13, 2025. $375.00 Yes
Crittenden GreeneSport Association Will provide sport officials for after-school sports for Crittenden for the 2025-2026 school year. NTE $10,000.00
Graham GreeneSport Association Will provide sport officials for after school sports at Graham Middle School. NTE $12,000.00
Superintendent Hanover Research Renewal service agreement for the 2025-2026 school year. Hanover will support the District with one project queue which includes the completion of 4 to 6 projects depending on size and depth. $47,000.00
Business- Child Nutrition Harris School Solutions Will provide an annual licensing and technical support for the etrition system for all sites. $19,064.95 Yes
Ed. Services Healthier Kids Foundation Will provide vision, dental, hearing screenings and potentially My Health First Universal Wellness screenings. This is a multi-year contract at no cost to the District. No cost Yes
