Background:
The Board will consider awarding a contract for the Roofing Replacement and Repair Project at Crittenden Middle School, Amy Imai Elementary School, Edith Landels Elementary School, and Benjamin Bubb Elementary School. The roofing assessment and subsequent bid documents for this project was performed by a third party consultant hired by the District, Skyline Engineering.
On May 6th, 2025, the District received contractor bids for the Roofing Replacement and Repair Project. Five proposals were received, and the apparent low responsive and responsible bidder is Courtney, Inc. The District's Measure T Bond Program manager, Greystone West, has reviewed the proposal for conformance with District and statutory requirements.
Fiscal Implication:
The construction budget for this project was $7,068,718. The base bid received from Courtney, Inc. is in the amount of $4,450,000. The District will also accept the add alternates included in the bid in the amount of $2,150,793. This brings the total contract value for Courtney, Inc. to $6,600,793. The bid amount is within the budget for the project.
This contract is charged to Measure T funds.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees award the contract to Courtney, Inc. for the Roofing Replacement and Repair Project.
