Background:
Under CA Senate Bill 114, all California LEAs are required to adopt a Reading Difficulty Risk Screener (RDRS) by June 30, 2025 for annual use beginning in the 2025-26 school year.
Staff will present an update on the RDRS committee's work and the committee's recommendations.
Fiscal Implication:
$15,000 annually
Recommended Action:
Staff recommends that the Board adopt Amplify mCLASS DIBELS and Lectura as our universal reading risk screener for grades K-2.
