Agenda Item Title:  (Discussion) Board Bylaws and Board Policies Updates (First Reading)

Background: 

CSBA advises districts of recommended changes in board policies and administrative regulations and board bylaws to assist boards in keeping their policies current and reflecting all recent changes in laws and regulations. 

Updating MVWSD's policies with CSBA recommendations will align the district's policies with the California Ed Code and state and/or federal law.

The attached December policies are ones for which the California School Board Association has recommended revisions. 

The Policy Committee, at its March 5, 2025, meeting, reviewed the policies and is bringing them for First Reading and Trustees' review. 

Approval of the policies will take place at the next regular meeting.
