On December 8, 2022, The Board of Trustees approved the Guaranteed Maximum Price Contract (GMP) for Phase 1 and 2 of the District Wide Window Replacement Project from Measure T Funds and the lease-leaseback contract was awarded to EF Brett and Company, Inc. This project includes the following sites: Mariano Castro ES, MVWSD District Office, Stevenson ES, Jose Vargas ES, Benjamin Bubb ES, Crittenden Middle School, Graham Middle School, Amy Imai ES, Edith Landels ES, Gabriela Mistral ES, Monta Loma ES, and Theuerkauf ES.
Work is now substantially complete.
Fiscal Implication:
The District currently holds retention in the amount of 5% of the final contract value. After a minimum of thirty-five (35) days after the filing of the Notices of Completion with the County of Santa Clara recorder, the District will release the retention amount, provided all remaining close out and punch list items have been completed.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the filing of the Notice of Completion for the District Wide Window Replacement Project.
