Background: 
The Governor’s January budget in California outlines a comprehensive spending plan for the state. California law requires that the Governor's budget be submitted to the Legislature by January 10, ensuring ample time for legislative review, stakeholder consultations, and negotiations before final approval and implementation in the upcoming fiscal year.  Staff will present highlights from the Governor's January budget.
