Agenda Item Title: Approval of the Design Build Agreement with Veregy, Inc. for the District Wide CalShape Grant Project

Background:
In August of 2022 the District received approval for state grant funding for assessment of HVAC units and replacement of HVAC filters and sensors at Castro Elementary School in the amount of $181,830. In January of 2023 the District then received a similar grant for the Mistral, Vargas, Bubb, Landels, Imai, Graham, Stevenson, Crittenden, Monta Loma and Theuerkauf in the amount of $933,150. Subsequent to the grant approvals the District issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Design Build Contractors to complete this work. Two RFP responses were received. Veregy, Inc. is the recommendation to be the design build contractor most qualified to complete this project.

CalShape Grant Program - $1,114,980
Recommended Action:
It is recommended the Board of Trustees approve the design building contract agreement with Veregy, Inc. for the District Wide CalShape Grant Project in the amount of $1,114,980.
