Background:
On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.
All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days. The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $114,500 in 2024 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.
Presented for ratification are the following contract(s):
- Curriculum Associates- Will provide an iReady Assessment Math and Reading site licenses from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027, $144,493.10.
- Enome, Inc. (Goalbook)- Will provide a Goalbook Membership renewal for 3 years starting July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027, $113,790.00 ($37,930.00 per year).
- Right at School LLC- Will provide an after school expanded learning program from August 1, 2024 through July 31, 2025, Not to exceed $2,000,000.00.
- Santa Clara County Office of Education- Will provide technology services and support which includes QSS, URL Filtering, Executive Desktop, etc. for the 2024-2025 school year, $157,087.81.
- YMCA of Silicon Valley- Will provide an Expanded Learning Opportunities Program provided after regular school day for the 2024-2025 school year, Not to exceed $2,000,000.00.
Presented for review are the following contract(s):
- Analytic- Will provide a cloud-based software as a service solution for the management of human resources and financial functions from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, $14,582.00.
- Avalon Transportation, LLC- Will provide busing services to 8th grade Crittenden students attending the Yosemite trip on September 16, 2024 and September 20, 2024, $28,400.00.
- Delupan LLC dba: Kona Ice of Mountain View- Will provide one hour of shaved ice services for all students and staff at Monta Loma Elementary on May 24, 2024 from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM, $1,240.00.
- Health Connected- Will provide sexual health instruction (Teen Talk/Puberty Talk) for the 2024-2025 school year. $74,280.00.
- Hercules Achievement, LLC dba Varsity Yearbook- Will provide yearbooks for the 2024-2025 school year for all students at Crittenden Middle, $10,784.00.
- Michael Lanneo- Will provide one 30 minute in-person magic show for 1st grade students at Bubb Elementary on May 29, 2024, $375.00.
- Santa Cruz/Silicon Valley New Teacher Project- Will provide an accredited Teacher Induction Program for the 2024-2025 school year, Approximately $66,000.00.
- Stuntmaters Inc- Will provide one 45 minute, in-person assembly featuring BMX athletes who will discuss character, physical science, health and safety to all students in grades Kinder through 5th at Vargas Elementary on May 17, 2024, $1,275.00.
- TechSmart- Will provide online computer science teaching and learning platform on coding for middle schools for the 2024-2025 school year, $14,000.00.
- ThoughtExchange- Online platform for exchanging ideas and surveying our stakeholders. $36,002.50
- YMCA of Silicon Valley Project Cornerstone- Will provide support for MVWSD in efforts to provide a positive school climate by educating adults and students on how to create an environment where all youth succeed and thrive for the 2024-2025 school year, $11,550.00.
