Background: 
Day of the Teacher arose out of legislation by the California Teachers Association and the Association of Mexican American Educators Day.  This year, Wednesday, May 8 is designated as "Day of the Teacher."  Teachers make a crucial difference in the lives of all the District's students.

That the Board of Trustees approve and adopt Resolution No. 03-050224 recognizing May 8, 2024 as Day of the Teacher as presented.
