Background: The Mountain View Educators Association, (MVEA) and the Mountain View Whisman School District negotiation team have reached a tentative agreement for the collective bargaining agreement from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027. The collective bargaining agreement between the District and MVEA shall remain in full force and effect, except as amended in this document, and as provided in the attached tentative agreements. The tentative agreement includes a five percent (5%) salary schedule increase, effective July 1, 2024, a five percent (5%) salary schedule increase, effective July 1, 2025, and a four percent (4%) salary schedule increase, effective July 1, 2026. The attached agreements were reached regarding Article 3, Hours; Article 4, Assignments, Reassignments, Transfers, and Filling of Vacancies: Article 5, Compensation; Article 7, Class Size: Article 8, Professional Growth and Development: Article 10, Evaluation: and Article 12, Leaves.

Recommended Action: Staff recommend that the Board approve the Tentative Agreement between the Mountain View Educators Association (MVEA) and the Mountain View Whisman School District, as presented.
