Background:
As Mountain View Whisman School District’s population continues to change, the district must have parameters for when and how boundary changes will happen before the need arises. Boundary changes are essential for any district to adapt to evolving demographics, promote equity and diversity, optimize resource allocation, and ensure the best possible educational experience for students within the district. Today staff will present the suggested process for creating boundaries and when to adjust them.
Staff is requesting feedback on the proposed process for creating a boundary process prior to a need arising. Does this process meet the board's intentions? Would the board like to add anything to the process at this time?
