Background:
On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.
All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days. The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $114,500 in 2024 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

- Clearly Consultants Inc.- Will provide geotechnical services for the Landels Elementary School Paving Upgrade Project, $8,000.00.
- Cleary Consultants Inc.- Will provide geotechnical services for the Vargas Elementary School Outdoor Learning and Greening Project from June 10, 2024 through August 9, 2024, $13,500.00.
- Construction Inspection Services, Inc.- Will provide project inspection services for the School Paving Upgrade Project at Landels Elementary, $1,550.00.
- Construction Inspection Services, Inc.- Will provide project inspection services for the Vargas Elementary School Outdoor Learning and Greening Project from June 10, 2024 through August 9, 2024, $14,375.00.
- Dreiling Terrones Architecture, Inc.- Will provide architectural services for the New Bottle Fillers at Various Sites Project from April 2024 through June 2025, $41,955.00.
- Istation- Will provide a renewal quote for licenses to access online Spanish assessments for Mistral Elementary from August 1, 2024 through July 31, 2025, $5,430.00.
- Jose Valdes Math Foundation- Will provide a 2024 summer math program, $44,800.00.
- KM Education LLC- Continue the weighted lottery, and build on the work completed to support MVWSD's development of a weighted lottery, $11,000.00
- Palo Alto Junior Museum and Zoo- Will provide 3 sessions to students in 1st and 2nd grade. The sessions will be about animals in their habitats and adaption. Each session will be held in classrooms at Theuerkauf Elementary on May 15, 2024, $630.00.
- PowerSchool - Parent communication subscription $7,876.30.
- Testing Engineers, Inc.- Will provide special testing and inspection services for the Vargas Elementary School Outdoor Learning and Greening Project from June 10, 2024 through August 9, 2024, $10,380.00.
