Background: 

On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.

All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days.  The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $109,300 in 2023 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

1. Avalon Transportation LLC- Will provide transportation from 02/27/2024 through 03/01/2024 for the upcoming Crittenden So-Cal Music department trip for students in 7th through 8th grade, $17,600.00.
2. ButterflyMX, Inc.- Will provide access control at the main entry door to Building C, for the Staff Housing Project from December 2023 through December 2024, $6,048.00.
3. Lakeshore Learning Materials LLC- Will provide professional development for staff on topics related to developmentally appropriate practices for MVWSD preschool from January 1, 2024 through May 31, 2024, Not to exceed $10,000.00.
4. Reach SV- Will provide free pick-up and distribution of all left-over Child Nutrition meals, No cost to the District.
5. Royale Management Group LLC- Will provide a BMX Action assembly on February 16, 2024 from 9:00-10:45 AM for all Graham students, $2,294.00
6. Western Governors University- Will provide student teachers to MVWSD school sites with assistance of a cooperating teacher from December 7, 2023 through December 7, 2026, No cost to the District.
