Board Policy 6163.2 Animals at School - New
Overview of the Policy
Board Policy 6163.2 is a new mandated policy. This policy recognizes that animals can contribute to the District's instructional program by both being effective teaching aides and assisting students with disabilities to access programs and activities. Additionally the policy requires the District to develop rules and procedures when animals are brought to school.

Recommended Action:
That the Board of Trustees approves Board Policy 6163.2 at first reading as presented.
