Agenda Item Title: Change Order No. 2 New Storage Sheds at Vargas and Stevenson Elementary Schools

Background:
During the New Storage Sheds at Vargas and Stevenson Elementary Schools project, unforeseen conditions have occurred, resulting in revisions to the scope of the original project. These additions/changes require contingency money to be used. A construction contingency of $59,744.40 has been budgeted for this project, and an allowance for unforeseen conditions for $10,000.00 was also added to the contract amount.
Change Order No.1 for $30,125.00 increased the Guerra Construction contract amount to $627,569.00
Change Order No.2 for ($8,602.00) will decrease the Guerra Construction contract amount to $618,967.00
Fiscal Implication:
The monies required for Change Order No. 2 will not exceed $0. After Change Order #2, the balance remaining in the construction contingency will be $38,221.40
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve Change Order no. 2 for the New Storage Sheds at Vargas and Stevenson Elementary Schools Project.
