Background: 

On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.

All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days.  The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $109,300 in 2023 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

Presented for ratification are the following contract(s): 

1. Welldom Inc- Will contract staffing for SPED department for the 2023-2024 school year, $184,760.00.

Presented for review are the following contract(s): 

1. Environmental Volunteers- Will provide 3 90-minute All About Birds program for 3 kindergarten classes and 3 90-minute Weather and Climate program 3 third grade classes at Imai Elementary, $1,680.00.
2. Guidepost Solutions LLC- Will provide low voltage systems design build services for the integration of existing exterior lighting controls into the Avigilon-Access Control and Alarm Monitoring System, district-wide, $38,880.00.
3. Imagineerz Learning LLC- Will provide a STEM curriculum lessons for students in grades K-5 once a week, 2 in-person assemblies for students, and an all-staff 2 hour training on October 13, 2023 at Imai Elementary.  Terms of the contract will be October 2023 through June 2024, $12,900.00.
4. ZSN Systems & Solutions LLC- Will contract staffing for SPED department for the 2023-2024 school year, $44,700.00.
