Background:
During the staff housing project, unforeseen conditions, jurisdictional requirements and owner requested changes have resulted in the use of the Owners contingency for this project and the project is now at the point where the Developers Contingency is being used to fund these additional changes.
Change Order No. 7 will increase the District's contract with Palisade Builders by $131,762.79. A corresponding deductive change order will be processed under a separate Board action to reduce the contract with Mountain View Owners LLC (MVO) by ($131,762.79) resulting in a net $0 change to the District.
Change Order No. 1 and No. 2 for this project were no cost contingency adjustments.
Change Order No. 3 for $283,852 will increase the contract amount to $68,071,138.55.
Change Order No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 for this project were no cost contingency adjustments.
Change Order No. 7 for $131,762.79 will increase the contract amount to $68,202,901.34.
Fiscal Implication:
None, this contract is charged to Measure T.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve Change Order No.7 for Palisade Builders for the Staff Housing Project.
