Background: 

On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.

All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days.  The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $109,300 in 2023 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

Presented for ratification are the following contract(s): 

1. Los Altos School District- Will provide SPED Student Placement for services not available at MVWSD for the 2023-2024 school year, $204,073.00.
2. Mountain View Los Altos HSD - Will provide a temporary loan of a Professional Contractor to perform services/support in DHH program $99,645.12

Presented for review are the following contract(s): 

1. Environmental Volunteers- Will provide an Environmental Science Collaboration program that supports science education by delivering environmental science resources to classroom and field trip program throughout the 2023-2024 school year, $70,000.00.
2. Filewave - Software license $15,876.00
3. GreeneSport Association- Will provide referee services for after school sport events for the 2023-2024 school year, $7,408.75.
4. King Consulting - Identify potential school attendance boundary adjustments to align with future student populations with facility availability. NTE $54,325.00.
5. Martha Escalera- Will provide online workshops for Spanish speaking parents (Parent University) from October 1, 2023 through May 31, 2024, $12,000.00.
6. Susan Hentz & Associates- Will provide Professional Development for the SPED staff from September 12, 2023 through September 14, 2023, $7,500.00.
7. The Master Teacher- Will provide a para-educator online training annual subscription for the 2023-2024 school year, $5,808.00.
