At the direction of the board, staff presented three options for fencing Monta Loma Elementary at the August 17th board meeting. Staff then held feedback sessions with school staff and the community in addition to the feedback received over the past two years. The board also held a special meeting on August 28th to receive additional feedback.

 

At the August 28th meeting, the board favored option one as a conceptual design, which is being brought back for a formal vote tonight. The next steps in the process are schematic design which may have minor changes (board action), preparation of construction documents, DSA submittal date if necessary, DSA review, bid period, award of contract, and then construction.
