Agenda Item Title: Award of Professional Services Agreement with Carducci Associates Inc., for Outdoor Greening Learning

Background:
As part of the sustainability program, the District's Board of Trustees has directed staff to establish a greening index for the District to evaluate outdoor green space at each of the school sites throughout the District. The greening index would provide a means to evaluate and score the outdoor green space at each campus and compare those scores between District campuses and help identify sites in which green space would need to be expanded or reworked to provide parody across the District sites and ensure all students have access to adequate green space at each campus. As part of this process the District has engaged the services of Carducci and Associates Landscape Architects to help establish the scoring/rating index and metrics and assign a score to each site accordingly. Future outdoor learning projects would utilize the scoring when assessing needs at each site.
Fiscal Implication:
Carducci and Associates proposed a fee for the required services in the amount of $95,500.00.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the professional services agreement with Carducci Associates Inc., for Greening Index and award an agreement in the amount of $95,500.00 to Carducci for the Project.
