Agenda Item Title: Approve Contract Agreement with Zayo Group, LLC for the installation of Dark Fiber for service at the Employee Housing Project

Background:
In order to provide District network services via the District existing network to the Employee Housing Building, the District will need to enter into a contract with a third party provider to run fiber optic cabling from the District's Network Operations Center at the Stevenson Campus to the new Employee Housing Building. In review of existing services, the only provider with existing infrastructure in place to make this connection, is the Zayo Group, LLC. Due to the limited number of service providers, District legal counsel had advised that the public bidding of this scope would be futile as per the Board Resolution provided with this item.
Fiscal Implication:
The contract with the Zayo Group, LLC is in the amount of $165,330. This contract will be charged to Measure T.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the contract agreement with Zayo Group, LLC in the amount of $165,330 for the installation of Dark Fiber for service at the Employee Housing Project.
