Background:
On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.
All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days. The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $109,300 in 2023 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.
Presented for ratification are the following contract(s):
- ALULA - Executive Coaching for 12–15 Selected District Leaders, Q4 (360) Feedback Surveys for 30 Principals and Cabinet Members and Facilitation of five 4-Hour District Leadership Team Development Sessions NTE $198,075.00
- Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA): Will provide art and music classes for our elementary schools for the 2023-2024 school year, $460,430.00.
- Faces-Pace- Will provide a non public school for SPED student placement for the 2023-2024 school year, $145,572.00.
- Health Pro Pediatrics- Will provide staffing contract for occupational therapists for the 2023-2024, $538,560.00.
- ILO Group - Continued support of 12 women leaders with executive leadership coaching and cohort sessions to ensure the success of school district leaders, $296,895.00.
- The Speech Pathology Group- Will provide a SPED staffing contract for speech/language pathologists for the 2023-2024 school year, $168,300.00.
- Santa Clara County Office of Ed - Annual technical services; ISP, Dark Fiber, Firewall, URL, and QCC Financial $142,063.94
Presented for review are the following contract(s):
- Ascendancy Solutions- Will provide a TA Facilitator for monitoring and implementing the CCEIS for new SigDis Plan for the 2023-2024 school year, $2,200.00.
- Axiom Advisors & Consultant, Inc.- Will develop the 2022-2023 SARC for each MVWSD school site, $11,550.00.
- Carducci Associates Landscape Architects- Will provide an addendum no. 1 to the October 1, 2020 Agreement for Landscape Architect Services for the Outdoor Learning Space Projects at various sites, $34,750.00.
- Communicaid Inc.- Will provide SPED interpreting services for the 2023-2024 school year, $15,000.00.
- Consolidated Networks Corporation- Will provide a CUPCCAA contract for the District Wide Restroom Vape Sensor Replacement Project, $60,612.00.
- Construction Inspection Services, Inc.- Will provide a consulting agreement for the District Wide Window Replacement Phase 1 project at various sites from May 2023 through August 2024, $35,000.00.
- HopSkipDrive- Will provide a renewal contract for SPED student transportation from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, $45,000.00.
- Istation- Will provide ISIP Spanish assessment licenses and Spanish instruction/intervention program at Mistral elementary from August 1, 2023 through July 31, 2024, $10,440.00.
- Lakeshore Learning Materials, LLC- Will provide an in-person, half day, professional development workshop on Facilitating Effective Read Aloud for preschool and TK teaching staff on August 4, 2023, $3,500.00.
- Leadership Associates P. Gorman - 2023-24 Executive support for the superintendent, and leadership team members, $53,000.00.
- Literably- Will provide a license renewal for English Fluency online assessments for the 2023-2024 school year, $21,271.25.
- Los Altos School District- Will provide when necessary, students in MVWSD (DOR) access to special education programs operated by LASD (DOS) when not available through MVWSD for the 2023-2024 school year, $29,340.00.
- OverDrive Education - School digital library-provides digital content, software $4,590.00
- Peninsula Bridge- Will provide a year-round after school program with a focus on math and language arts to 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students from September 1, 2023 through May 31, 2024, $20,000.00.
- Rhythm and Moves, Inc.- Will provide physical education services for 3 kinder and 2 transitional kinder classes, 30 minutes a week/per class, at Imai elementary from August 14, 2023 through June 1, 2024, $9,700.00.
- School Services of California Inc.- Will provide the District with assistance regarding issues of school finance, legislation, school budgeting, and general fiscal issues during the 2023-2024 school year, $5,300.00.
- Shared Plate Strategies LLC- Will provide Child Nutrition support to successfully solicit food procurement bids and enhance understanding systems and protocols for procuring to meet department farm to school, scratch cooking and other programmatic goals from June 2023 through July 2023, Not to exceed $14,875.00.
- Wheelehan School Business Consulting- Will provide consulting services to the Chief Business Officer of MVWSD for the 2023-2024 school year, Not to exceed $17,500.00.
- YMCA Project Cornerstone- Will provide support to MVWSD in efforts to provide a positive school climate by educating both adults and students on how to create an environment where all youth succeed and thrive from July, 2023 through June, 2024, $11,550.00.
