Background:
On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.
All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days. The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $109,300 in 2023 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.
Presented for ratification are the following contract(s):
- BMR Health Services- Will provide a staffing contract for SPED to provide OT, PT & SLP services for the 2023-2024 school year, $939,862.00.
- Community Health Awareness Council (CHAC)- Will provide mental health services for the 2023-2024 school year through their integrated School Based Services Program, $938,822.00.
- Invo Healthcare Associates, LLC.- The original contract was taken to the Board on March 2, 2023 with an incorrect dollar amount listed on the agenda's language. The correct amount for this contract is $150,000.00 for services rendered from March 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, $150,000.00.
- Living Classroom- Will provide NGSS-aligned, environmental education to TK-6th grade students for the 2023-2024 school year, $115,000.00.
- Rhythm & Moves- Will provide physical education services for MVWSD elementary school sites for the 2023-2024 school year, $915,680.00.
- The Stepping Stones Group LLC.- Will provide a staffing contract for SPED to provide SLP services for the 2023-2024 school year, $314,160.00.

- Analytic- Will provide a cloud-base software as a service solution for the management of human resources and financial functions from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2023, $14,226.00.
- Boom Learning- Will provide a license renewal for web-based interactive lessons gamified for students with automatic grading and real-time reports for the 2023-2024 school year, $420.00.
- Construction Inspection Services- Will provide inspection services for the Theuerkauf Electrical Upgrade project from May 22, 2023 through August 6, 2023 & December 26, 2023 through January 5, 2024, $9,375.00.
- Imagineerz Learning- Will provide software licenses for access to Imagineerz curriculum database for STEM challenges during our Summer Program 2023, $20,300.00.
- Informed K12- Will provide up to 20 software service licenses that support district forms and processes for several departments from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, $26,143.00.
- Michael Lanneo- Will provide 1, 30-minute magic show for 1st grade students at Bubb elementary on June 5, 2023, $375.00.
- n2y LLC- Will provide licenses renewal for Unique Learning System, Skills and New2 you for the 2023-2024 school year, $7,699.79.
- Read Naturally- Will provide reading licenses for SPED for the 2023-2024 school year, $2,850.00.
- Research Institute for Learning and Development- Will provide a SMARTS license renewal that will give access to web-based curriculum designed to enable SPED students to develop a strategic approach to their school work for the 2023-2024 school year, $6,783.00.
- Samsara- Will provide dual facing dash cameras and usage license for all maintenance, grounds, transportation, and food services vehicles from May, 2023 through September, 2025, $20,869.60.
- Seesaw Learning- Will provide a license renewal for supplemental curriculum that reinforces core subjects and skills from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, $11,628.00.
- Shalek Chappill- Will provide one day training in STEAM for preschool and TK teachers on August 4, 2023, $1,500.00.
- Sown to Grow- Will provide a program that will improve student social, emotional, and academic health through an easy and engaging check-in, reflection and teacher feedback process. The program includes software licenses and PD/training for the 2023-2024 school year, $37,000.00.
- TechSmart- Will provide an online computer science educational course for middle school students for the 2023-2024 school year, $29,000.00.
- Texthelp- Will provide a license renewal for Read & Write subscription for the 2023-2024 school year, $9,604.98.
- University of California, Berkley- Will provide 2 assemblies for Theuerkauf students on Solids, Liquids and Gasses on May 30, 2023, $1,125.00.
- Xerox Financial Services LLC- Will provide a lease agreement for printers at all school sites and several departments from July 1, 2023 through July 1, 2028, Lease fees for all 5 years $32,162.20.
- Youth Science Institute- Will provide 2 presentations on the "Life in a Pond," to 3rd grade students at Landels elementary on May 23, 2023, $650.00.
