Agenda Item Title: Award of Architectural Services Contract Amendment No. 1 to Dreilling Terrones Architecture, Inc. for the Storage Building Project at Stevenson and Vargas Elementary Schools

Background:
The Storage Building Project at Stevenson and Vargas Elementary Schools requires the services of a structural engineer to provide structural details, calculations and recommendations for various aspects of the storage building construction details at each site. The structural engineering was originally excluded from the architectural services agreement for this project, however is now required for final design details and sign off.
Fiscal Implication:
Dreiling Terrones Architecture, Inc. proposed a fee for the required services in the amount of $3,500. At this time, the estimated construction cost remains $646,188. The proposed fee is within the established project budget for design fees.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve contract amendment no. 1 for Dreiling Terrones Architecture, Inc., in the amount of $3,500.
