Agenda Item Title: Mountain View Whisman School District Staff Housing Project - Palisade Builders, Change Order No. 3

Background:
During the staff housing project, District staff requested infrastructure for the District's Dark Fiber Network bet added to the construction contract for the building This work includes underground conduit from the project property line to the main electrical room, fiber optic cabling from the main electrical room to the individual data rooms on each floor and Cat 6A cabling from the individual data rooms to each of the 144 residential units and each common space. This infrastructure will allow the District to provide access to the District network for each of the tenants.
Change Order No. 1 and No. 2 for this project were no cost contingency adjustments.
Change Order No. 3 for $283,852 will increase the contract amount to $68,071,139.
Fiscal Implication:
The monies required for Change Order No. 3 will not exceed $283,852. This contract is charged to Measure T.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve Change Order No. 3 for the Staff Housing Project.
