Background: 

On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.

All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days.  The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $109,300 in 2023 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

Presented for ratification are the following contract(s): 

1. Right at School LLC.- Will provide an after school expanded learning opportunities program for the 2023-2024 school year, Not to exceed $2,000,000.00.
2. Santa Clara County Office of Education- Will provide the School Linked Services contract amendment 4 services agreement from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, Payable to MVWSD $193,522.00.

Presented for review are the following contract(s): 

1. Challenge Day- Will provide a program that will guide Crittenden students through a series of interactive activities to create connections and inclusivity on May 15, 2023, $3,900.00.
2. City of Mountain View- Will provide services to repair, remove, and install a portion of the sidewalk pursuant to the City's Annual Sidewalk Project at Graham Middle Schoo.  Work will begin once the Notice to Proceed is approve and it will take the City 50 days from that date to complete the project, No cost to the District. 
3. Consolidated Networks Corporation- Will provide a CUPCCAA contract for the services of the District Wide Office Public Address Speakers Project, $80,347.69.
4. David Taussig and Associates, Inc.- Will provide consulting services to assist in administration of parcel tax exemptions from July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, Not to exceed $2,100.00.
5. Frontline Education- Will provide a Comparative Analytics subscription powered by Forecast5, usage for up to 5 employees for the 2023-2024 school year, $8,364.74.
6. Lexia Learning Systems- Will provide a subscription to Lexia's Literacy resources for the 2023 Summer Program, $2,000.00.
7. Mobile Modular Management Corporation- This second contract amendment will provide an extension to the lease of three (3) portable buildings at Landels Elementary from July 16, 2023 through July 16, 2024, $23,400.00.
8. Napa County Office of Education- Will provide a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for MVWSD to receive technical assistance to support the development of the Compliance and Improvement Monitoring (CIM) for Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervening Services (CCEIS) plan for 2023.  Funded by (CDE) through a contract to the Napa County Office of Education (NCOE), No cost to the District.
9. Peopleogie- This second contract amendment will provide an extension to the contract.  Peopleogie will provide 8, 90-minute workshops for 2nd and 4th graders at Imai elementary on history and handcraft, beginning May 22, 2023 through May 30, 2023, $2,000.00.
10. Samsara- Will provide software data, dash and license cameras for all maintenance and food service vehicles from May 4, 2023 through September 4, 2025, $20,614.25.
11. Schmahl Science Workshops- Will provide 5 science workshops to the Preschool staff on June 6, 2023, $875.00.
