Background: 
In order to address the needs of emerging readers, Reading Intervention Teachers will work with staff and students at the four school sites that demonstrate lower student achievement for emerging readers (K-2) - Monta Loma, Castro, Mistral, and Theuerkauf.

Fiscal Implication:
Approx. $150,000

Recommended Action: 
That the Board of Trustees approves the job description for the, Reading Intervention Teacher as presented.
