Agenda Item Title: Award of Architectural Services Contract Amendment No. 2 to Hamilton + Aitken Architects for the Paving and Utilities Project Landels Elementary School

Background:
The Paving and Utilities Phase 2 Project included replacement and repairs to existing paving at the Bubb Elementary School, Imai Elementary School and Crittenden Middle School sites. That work was completed over June to August 2022. The Landels Elementary School site was originally not included in the proposal or scope of work as paving for that site was to be included in the larger, new building construction project. However as that building project is no longer moving forward, the paving of the playground is being added to this contract for design services. The project requires the services of an architectural design firm to assist in design and construction documents, Division of the State Architect (DSA) approval, construction administration and closeout.
Fiscal Implication:
Hamilton + Aitken Architects proposed a fee for the required services in the amount of $26,500. At this time, the estimated project cost is $469,238. The proposed fee is within the established project budget for design fees.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve Contract Amendment No. 2 for Hamilton + Aitken Architects as the architectural design firm in the amount of $26,500.
