Background: 

On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.

 

All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days.  The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $109,300 in 2023 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

 

Presented for ratification are the following contract(s): 

  1. City of Mountain View- Will provide a multi-year contract to provide crossing guards around Mountain View Whisman schools from August 10, 2022-June 30, 2026, $150,000.00.
  2. YMCA of Silicon Valley- Will provide Expanded Learning Opportunities for the 2023-2024 school year, Not to exceed $2,000,000.00.

 

Presented for review are the following contract(s): 

  1. Christy White- Will provide a performance audit of project #57/69591-00-005 for the District within one year of the project completion or termination, $6,000.00.
  2. Nanogan Science & Services LLC- Will provide an after school science program from March 20, 2023 through May 31, 2023, $1,000.00.
  3. Math Culture LLC.- Will provide two after school in-person math classes for students in 2-5th grade at Imai elementary from March 20, 2023 through May 31, 2023, $35 per class/per student.
  4. Silicon Valley Education Foundation- Will provide the Elevate Summer Math program  for incoming 3rd-8th grade students, district-wide, from March 17, 2023 through October 1, 2023 (program dates 06/12/2023-07/07/2023), $57,000.00.

Recommended Action: 

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees ratify or review the contracts, as presented.
