Agenda Item Title: Transportation Plan 2022-2023 & 2023-2024

Background:
As a condition of receiving apportionments under Section 41850.1, a local educational agency shall develop a plan describing the transportation services it will offer to its pupils. The plan must be adopted by the Governing Board by April 1, 2023. The template attached was developed by the County office. The first year’s plan is intended to address both the current transportation program in 2022-23 fiscal/school year and describes the prioritized transportation services it will offer to its identified pupils in the 2023-24 fiscal/school year. The requirement to have plan addressing two years would is a one-time nuance and future year plans would primarily address the following fiscal/school year.
The plan shall be presented and adopted by the Governing Board of the local educational agency in an open meeting with the opportunity for in-person and remote public comment.
Fiscal Implication:
Approximately $631,825 reimbursed from the State for transportation costs.
Recommended Action:
It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve the Transportation Plan 2022-2023 & 2023-2024, as presented.
