Background:
On November 19, 2015, the District's Governing Board approved Resolution No. 1580.11/15 delegating authority to award contracts to the District's Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Associate Superintendent(s), and Assistant Superintendent(s) pursuant to Education Code sections 17604 and 17605.
All contracts approved by those authorized to do so pursuant to that delegation authority are to be submitted to the District's Governing Board for ratification. Contracts that do not, however, involve an item of expenditure in excess of the bid limits specified in Public Contract Code section 20111 need only be reviewed by the District's Governing Board every 60 days. The applicable bid limits are $15,000 for construction contracts and $109,300 in 2023 (adjusted annually) for the purchase of equipment, materials, supplies, non-construction services, or repairs including maintenance.

- AMN Healthcare, Inc.- Will provide in-person speech therapist through the end of 2022-2023 school year, $75,000.00.
- Briscoe Ivester & Bazel LLP- To advise on land use issues, NTE $20,000.
- Christy White- Will provide an audit on the financial statements of the governmental activities, each major fund, and the aggregate remaining fund information, including the disclosures, which collectively comprise the basic financial statements, of MVWSD as of and for the fiscal years ending June 30, 2023 and 2024. For the 2022-2023 school year, price increase of $4,350, and $32,500 for the 2023-2024 school year.
- City of Mountain View- This is a follow up to the Crossing Guard Analysis Memorandum that was board approved on September 8, 2022. The City of Mountain View is in agreement with MVWSD to provide 5 crossing guards for the 2022-2023 school year, $50,000.00.
- Community School of Music and Arts- Will provide several after school Art and Music Programs at Vargas Elementary from March 7, 2023 through May 19, 2023, $11,850.00.
- Environmental Volunteers- Will provide hands-on activities for Kinder students at Imai elementary school from March 21, 2023 through March 22, 2023, PTA funded, $420 per class, not to exceed $1,100.00.
- Invo Healthcare Associates, LLC.- Will provide training, coaching and technical assistance to the Director of Students Supports and Special Education, for mental and behavioral health programs and personnel from March 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024, $90,000.00.
- Michael Katz- Will provide 2 (45 minutes) assemblies for students at Bubb Elementary school on April 7, 2023, $875.00.
- Mission Edge San Diego- Will provide 2 in-person assemblies on the Big Buzz about Bees on May 4, 2023 at Monta Loma elementary, PTA funded $230.00.
- School Bus Logistics - Will provide services that allow the district to simulate changes in the routing and scheduling of buses to incorporate choice program students, NTE $28,500.
