Background: 

In accordance with the with Education Code sections 33126 and 33126.1, the Board of Trustees must approve the publication of the School Accountability Report Cards. The SARCs provide parents and the community with important information about each school including reporting progress towards goals.

The SARC data template was released by the California Department of Education (CDE) on January 12th with the teacher data tables still not available to districts. These tables will not be available until after the February 1st SARC Board approval deadline. Districts were advised to approve SARCs on or before the February 1st deadline and then make updates as the tables/data become available. CDE has advised that no second Board review/approval will be required once these tables are populated.
