Background: 
The following administrative regulation reflects the Healthy Schools Act of 2000 which encourages the use of effective, least toxic pest management practices for the control and management of pests on school campuses. The California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) has established an integrated pest management (IPM) program for use by school districts.

It is recommended that the Board of Trustees approve Administrative Regulation (AR) 3514.2 Integrated Pest Management at first reading, as presented.
